Prof. Eikevik is a Full Professor in Energy and Process Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway, with responsibility for environmentally friendly refrigeration and heat pump systems and product quality in the food engineering. He published more than 200 journal papers and conference papers in the above fields.

In October 2023, Prof. Eikevik was invited to NITech for Joint Research on Interdisciplinary education and research platform in cold-chain of fish: from Norway to Japan hosted by Prof. Masanori Nakamura and Associate Prof. Yuhiro Iwamoto.
