
Dr. Md. Arif Ul Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Barishal, Bangladesh. He completed his BSc at Jagannath University and MSc at BUET, And later pursued his PhD in Prof. Soga-Kishi-Kato’s group at Nagoya Institute of Technology (NITech), Japan. His research focuses on next-generation solar cells, photovoltaics, and advanced functional materials. Dr. Islam has published over 25 SCI(E)-indexed articles and has received several national and international awards and research grants, reflecting his strong contributions to renewable energy research. In March 2026, Dr. Islam will be invited to NITech for collaboration in Thermo-electric material hosted by Prof. Kishi.
