Dr. Marco Simoncelli is an Assistant professor of the Department of Architecture, Construction Engineering and Built Environment (DABC) of the Politecnico di Milano. He graduated in 2013 with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Pavia and received his PhD from the  Politecnico di Milano in March 2018. The research activities are both numerical and experimental and are mainly concentrated in the field of steel structures with particular attention to those made with cold-formed profiles. In March 2026, Dr. Simoncelli will be invited to NITech for collaboration in Numerical analysis of bolted Aluminum joints for seismic-resistant structures, hosted by Prof. Sato.
