Dr. Ly Hoang HIEP is a Lecturer at the Department of Mechatronics, School of Mechanical Engineering, Hanoi University of Science And Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam. He obtained his Engineering Degree in mechatronics engineering (talented engineer program) from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2015. He then earned his master’s and doctoral degrees from Nagoya Institute of Technology in 2018 and 2022, respectively. Dr. HIEP was also a Research Fellow with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (DC1) from 2019 to 2022, and was a Project Researcher at the University of Tokyo from 2022 to 2023. Since 2023, Dr. HIEP has been a Lecturer at the Department of Mechatronics at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

His research interests include the development of haptic devices, medical devices, and robotic applications.

In March 2025, Dr. HIEP is invited to NITech for collaboration in the field of Communication Robots and Medical Engineering, hosted by Prof. Yoshihiro TANAKA.
