Dr. FERRO has been working as CNRS Research Director at the Laboratory of Multimaterials and interfaces, Lyon 1 University, France, since 2011. He received the Ph.D. degree in Materials science form Lyon 1 university, Villeurbanne (France) in 1997. After two post-doctoral positions at CEA-Leti (Grenoble, France) and Electrotechnical Laboratory (Tsukuba, Japan), he was recruited as CNRS researcher and appointed at the Laboratory of Multimaterials and interfaces, Lyon 1 University, in 1999.

In February 2024, Dr. FERRO was invited to NITech for Joint Research on carbide semiconductors elaboration and characterization, hosted by Prof. Masashi KATO.
