Dr. Alessandro Pisapia is a Tenure-track Researcher (RTT) and has been habilitated as Associate Professor. He has been with the Pegaso Digital University (Italy) since July 2024. After obtaining his Master’s degree, he won a Doctoral grant in Structural Engineering at the University of Salerno, where he received his PhD in 2021 with a thesis entitled “Local Buckling of Aluminium Members in the Elastic–Plastic Range”. In the same year, he became a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Salerno, a position he held until 2023, when he was appointed as a Researcher (RTDa), a role he carried out until July 2024. He is currently involved in several research activities of theoretical, numerical, and experimental nature. His research interests mainly focus on the seismic design of steel and aluminium structures through advanced design procedures, the analysis of instability phenomena, particularly in aluminium members, and the study of the cyclic and fire behaviour of aluminium structural elements. In March 2026, Dr. Pisapia will be invited to NITech for collaboration in Design and Development of Fully Bolted Aluminium Joints for Seismic-Resistant Structures hosted by Prof. Sato.
